Marine Liability and Information Return Regulations (SOR/2016-307)

The Governor General in Council, pursuant to subsections 74.4(3)a and 117(1.5)b of the Marine Liability Act, makes the annexed Marine Liability and Information Return Regulations. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to compulsory information return regarding reception of oil, liquefied natural gases, liquefied petroleum gases and any hazardous and noxious substances referred to in paragraphs 5(a)(ii), (iii), (v), (vi) and (vii) of Article 1 of the Hazardous and Noxious Substances Convention. The text consists of 3 sections. Receivers shall file information returns with the Minister, in accordance with the regulations, respecting quantities of contributing cargo receive.
