Abstract
The present Regulations enact subsection 104(1) of the Canada Marine Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the management of harbours. The first Part of the Regulations is entitled “Safety of persons and ships in harbours” and deals with the following matters: prohibitions, removal from waters, fire protection, dangerous situations, emergencies, accidents and incidents and precautionary measures. The second Part of the text concerns authorizations and instructions for activities in a harbour. This Part lays down provisions relating to activities under contracts, leases and licences, authorizations by posted signs, nautical charts, maps or forms, authorization to a person, instructions to cease, remove, return and restore.
