Abstract
The present Regulations are enacted under the Canada Shipping Act and the Arctic Waters Pollution Prevention Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to safety of ships. The text consists of 92 sections divided into 5 Parts as follows: General (1); Equipment requirements for ships constructed before 1 July 2002 (2);Equipment requirements for ships constructed on or after 1 July 2002 (3); Additional equipment requirements (4); Other requirements (5). Three Schedules are enclosed.
