Abstract
The present Regulations enforce the Canadian Environmental Protection Act 1999 (S.C. 1999, c. 33). In particular, the Regulations set the criteria which will be used to determine, if a substance is persistent or bioaccumulative under certain sections of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. These criteria are those in the Toxic Substances Management Policy adopted in 1995 by the Federal Government. Section 2 establishes that the Regulations apply to any substance, other than a living organism within the meaning of Part 6 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. The text consists of 6 sections.
