Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to appoint a working group to make recommendations concerning a strategy for the reduction of poverty in the Province. The Minister shall appoint a working group composed by at least a representative from each of the following: Department of Community Services; Department of Environment and Labour; Community Action on Homelessness; Community Advocates Network; Face of Poverty; Feed Nova Scotia; Nova Scotia League for Equal Opportunities; Feminists for Just and Equitable Public Policy; a regional development agency; Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Nova Scotia chapter; Social Corporate Responsibility Council; a chamber of commerce; Nova Scotia Chiefs of Police Association; Nova Scotia Federation of Labour; Black Business Initiative; a health authority as defined by the Health Authorities Act; and a group representing aboriginal interests.
