Prince Edward Island Potato Marketing Levies Order (C.R.C., c. 234).

This Order provides for the fixing, imposing and collecting of levies from certain potato dealers and producers in Prince Edward Island. Section 3 fixes the levy that every person who is engaged in the processing of potatoes in Prince Edward Island and every dealer and producers shall pay to the Prince Edward Island Potato Board .Under section 5, the order does not apply to producers that are "bona fide" farmers, i.e. any resident of Prince Edward Island whose chief occupation is that of a primary agricultural producer who grows an annual average of at least five acres of potatoes and who is not engaged in the assembling or shipping of farm products or produce in a commercial way.
