Projects Outside Canada Environmental Assessment Regulations (SOR/96-491).

The present Regulations implement subparagraph 59(i)(ii) of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. The Regulations apply with respect to projects to be carried out outside Canada and any federal lands and in respect of which a federal authority exercises a power or performs a duty or function described in paragraph 5(1)(a) or (b) of the Act. The text consists of 45 sections and 1 Schedule laying down detailed procedures relating to the approval of the above-mentioned projects.
