Abstract
The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to animals in captivity. In particular, it applies to the keeping of animals in captivity, the capture of animals for the purpose of keeping them in captivity and, where applicable, the disposal of animals. The text consists of 89 sections divided into 14 Parts as follows: Scope and interpretation (I); General obligations (II); Keeping of animals in captivity without a licence and disposal (III); Zoological gardens (IV); Wildlife Observation Centres (V); Wildlife Rehabilitation Centres (VI); Keeping of amphibians (VII); Keeping of white-tailed deer (VIII); Game ranches (IX); Animal brokers (X); Keeping animals in captivity for exhibition purposes (XI); Falconry (XII); Penal (XIII); Transitional and finale (XIV). Six Schedules are enclosed.
