Abstract
The present Regulation is made under the Animal Health Protection Act. In particular, the Regulation governs the identification of bovines, namely the species “bos taurus” and “bos indicus” and their hybrids, the identification of cervids, namely the cervidae family, and the identification of ovines, namely the genus ovis, kept or raised in Québec. To ensure the traceability of those animals, an identification system is established. The text consists of 31 sections divided into 8 Divisions as follows: Scope (I); Identification system (II); Identification (III); Replaced (IV); Transit (V); Transfer of ownership (VI); Death or slaughter of an animal (VII); Miscellaneous and final (VIII).
