Abstract
The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to the prevention of water pollution in livestock operations. Section 2 establishes that no person shall construct or undertake to operate a new livestock operation, expand, change types of livestock or increase the number of animal units, or install or modify a manure storage site without having obtained a certificate of authorization for that purpose from the Minister. The text consists of 51 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Interpretation (I); Certificate of authorization (II); Siting standards (III); General manure management standards (IV); Manure storage (V); Manure disposal and use (VI); Yards (VII); Final provisions (VIII). Eight Schedules are enclosed.
