Abstract
The present Regulation is made under the Environment Protection and Enhancement Act. In particular, the Regulation enables issuance of remediation certificates that relieve applicants of liability for clean-up, provided sites are remediated to standards of the day and site or land use conditions have not changed. Furthermore, the Regulation describes the required information for an application, for issuance of a remediation certificate, and the Director’s responsibilities with respect to notification, and what happens in the event of an offence. The text consists of 12 sections.
