Abstract
The present Regulation enforces the Environmental Protection Act (R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 19). In particular, the Regulation sets out the required supporting documents, including reports on project description, construction plans, consultation, design and operations reports, decommissioning plans and any additional reports required, depending on the renewable energy sources. The text consists of 64 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Interpretation (I); Classes of renewable energy generation facilities (II); Application of the Act to renewable energy projects (III); Renewable energy approvals - application process before approval issued (IV); Renewable energy approvals — application process after approval issued (IV:1); Prohibitions — renewable energy projects (V); Powers and duties of Director (VI); Hearings (VII); Transition (VIII).
