Abstract
This Regulation sets out the notice procedures and standards in various areas of strategic planning provided for under the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 159. It is divided up into 3 sections as follows: Part 1 - Definitions; Part 2 - Strategic Planning and Objectives and Part 3 - Standards. Under part 2, this Regulation sets out the notice provisions with regards to establishing, varying or cancelling the following; (1) resource management zones and objectives; (2) Landscape units and objectives; (3) Sensitive areas and objectives and (4) Interpretive forest sites, recreation sites, recreation trails and objectives. Under part 3 this Regulation lists the areas in which the chief forester is authorized to establish, vary or cancel standards for operational planning and forest practices. It also outlines the permitted procedure to publish these standards.
