Abstract
The present Regulations are made under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to protection of population of adverse effects of substances used in dry cleaning. Section 4 establishes that no person shall use tetrachloroethylene for dry cleaning unless the tetrachloroethylene, waste water and residue are stored in closed containers at all times, except when access is required for operation or maintenance. The text consists of 17 sections and 4 Schedules.
