Abstract
The present Regulations enact the Environment Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the management of used oil. In particular, section 5 establishes that no person shall sell, offer for sale, transfer, use or otherwise dispose of used oil to any person who is not a used oil collector or to any facility that is not a used oil return facility. The text – consisting of 15 sections – deals with the following aspects: administrator, designation, limitations on sale, transfer or use, approvals, used oil storage facility, approval renewal, contaminated used oil, dilution of contaminated used oil, prohibition against adding substances, and used oil return facility. One Schedule is enclosed.
Entry into force notes
The present Regulations enter into force on 11 April 1995.
