Abstract
These Regulations set forth provisions on licensing of fishing vessels of Cook Islands and foreign fishing vessels; placing, designation and marking of fish aggregating devices in compliance with applicable conservation and management measures; renewal of licences, permits and authorizations; collection of reliable and accurate information; offences and penalties. Furthermore, these Regulations set forth application procedures for the High Seas authorization, authorization to fish in the waters of another state, transhipment permit, and scientific research authorization. The forms for the application for a fishing licence, licence for a cook islands fishing vessel, licence for a foreign fishing vessel, appointment of an agent, application for high seas authorization, application for authorisation to fish in the waters of another state, and application for a transhipment permit are annexed to these Regulations.
