Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Chile on trade in organic products.

The purpose of this Agreement is to foster trade in organically produced agricultural products and foodstuffs between the European Union and Chile, in accordance with the principles of non-discrimination and reciprocity. The agreement lays down provisions on recognition of equivalence of laws and regulations, certificates of inspection required for imports and placing on the market and labelling of products. A Joint Committee on Organic Products is set up under article 8.
