Administrative Measures for the Exit Ornamental Fish Quarantine.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the export of ornamental fish quarantine management. The Measures consists of 27 articles divided into 4 Chapters: General Provisions; Exit Quarantine; Supervision and Administration; Supplementary Provisions.
The specific quarantine requirements of the importing country or region shall be reported by the exporting company in writing to the State Inspection and Quarantine Administration for approval (art.5). Only ornamental fish kept on registered ornamental fish farms may be used for export; the registered transit packaging fields can be used for the transit and storage of ornamental fishes for export (art.11). The quarantine certificate shall indicate the name of the exporting company, the name of farm or transit packaging field, address and registration number, export ornamental fish name, quantity, specifications and types of packaging, quantity and so on (art.8). The Measures further provide for the offences and penalties.
