Administrative measures for the import and export permits of wild fauna and flora.

The purpose of these Measures is to regulate the management of wild fauna and flora import and export permits. The Measures consist of 5 Chapters: General provisions (I); Examination, approval and issuance of import and export certificates (II); Examination, approval and issuance of certificates of species (III); Entry and exit supervision and administration (IV); Supplementary Provisions (V).
The wild fauna and flora import and export permits include the certificates of import and export, and the certificates of species(art.3). The Measures provide for the conditions, procedures and requirements to be satisfied for the application, acceptance, review and approval of wild fauna and flora import and export permits.
The term "the wild fauna and wild flora import and export certificates" as mentioned in the Measures include (1) the wild fauna and flora import and export certificates of the International Trade Convention of the Endangered Wild Fauna and Flora; (2) the wild fauna and flora import and export certificates of the People’s Republic of China (art.40).
