Administrative Measures for the Recording of Local Environmental Quality Standards and Pollutant Emission Standards.

These Measures, consisting of 16 Articles, provide for the rules, requirements and procedures to be satisfied for the recording of local environmental quality standards and emission standards.
Local environmental quality standards and emission standards mentioned in these Measures refer to the environmental quality standards and emission standards that are formulated by the people’s governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and that are applicable to their administrative jurisdictions or to particular river basins and regions within their administrative jurisdictions.
Any institution other than the people’s governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall not approve local environmental quality standards and emission standards.
