Administrative Measures for the Registration of Product Formulas of Infant Formula Milk Powder.

These Measures are developed in accordance with the Food Safety Law, aiming at strictly administering the registration of product formulas of infant formula milk powder and ensuring the quality safety of infant formula milk powder. The Measures shall apply to the administration of registration of product formulas of infant formula milk powder produced and sold within, and imported to the territory of the People's Republic of China.
“Registration of product formulas of infant formula milk powder” means the activities under which the China Food and Drug Administration carries out evaluation of the applications for the registration of product formulas of infant formula milk powder and decides whether or not to grant registration according to the procedures and requirements as prescribed in these Measures. The Measures consist of 52 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions; Application and registration; Labels and instructions; Supervision and management; Legal liabilities; Supplementary provisions.
