Administrative measures of Sichuan province for specified animal disease free zones.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the construction, management and evaluation of the specified animal disease free zones. The Measures consist of 25 articles.
The provincial animal husbandry and veterinary authority shall, in accordance with the provisions of the state standards, specify the scope and the kinds of animal disease free zones, and clearly indicate the types of animal diseases. In animal disease free zones, the animal disease prevention and control system and the animal health supervision system shall be improved, and the means and levels of the animal disease prevention and control, quarantine, supervision, monitoring shall reach the required standards; the relatively closed operation and management shall be implemented; animals, animal products entering animal disease free zones shall be subject to quarantine. Units and individuals engaged in feeding, slaughtering, operating, isolating, transporting animals or producing, operating, processing, storing and transporting animal products shall faithfully record the kinds, quantities, sources and flows of animals and animal products. Animal health supervision institutions at or above the county level shall supervise and inspect the records in accordance with the law.
