Administrative Measures for Water Gate Operation.

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Water Law and the Flood Control Law, aiming to strengthen the operation management of embankments.
The Measures consist of 60 Articles divided into 9 Chapters: General provisions; Management guarantee; Control and application; Inspection and monitoring; Maintenance and upkeep; Flood control management; Safety management; Supervision and management; Supplementary provisions. The supervisory department and management unit of water gates should strengthen communication and contact with relevant departments and units such as emergency, meteorological, hydrological, and local people's governments, closely monitor situation of rainfall, water, and flood, carry out early warning, rehearsal, and contingency measures, and establish and improve mechanisms for reporting and emergency response to flood and dangerous situations.
