Abstract
These Measures are enacted in accordance with the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law, the Regulations on the Administration of Live Pig Slaughtering, aiming to strengthen the supervision and management of livestock and poultry slaughtering, standardize the livestock and poultry slaughtering business operation, prevent the occurrence of animal epidemic diseases, and ensure the quality and safety of livestock and poultry products. The Text consists of 55 Articles divided into 7 Chapters: General provisions (I); Establishment of designated slaughterhouses (points) for livestock and poultry (II); Slaughtering of livestock and poultry (III); Livestock and poultry slaughtering inspection and quarantine (IV); Supervision and administration (V); Legal liabilities (VI); Supplementary provisions (VII).
Articles 12-20 deal with the application and approval of the establishment of designated slaughtering houses for livestock and poultry and the management of the certificates, stamps and marks thereof. The animal health supervision institutions shall send official veterinarians to designated slaughterhouses of livestock and poultry, and inspect the slaughter inspection process.
