Administrative provisions on adjustment of national nature reserves.

These Provisions regulates the adjustment of national nature reserves on the range, the functional area and the name, aiming to strengthen the construction and management of national nature reserves, effectively protect the environment, resources and biodiversity of national nature reserves. The criteria and procedures for the adjustment of national nature reserves and duties of competent authorities are set out.
According to the Provisions, the national nature reserve shall not be adjusted freely. In principle, the core areas and buffer areas shall not be reduced to ensure the effective protection. It is encouraged to enlarge the national nature reserves lack of enough area to meet the needs of protection.
