Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Korea on environmental cooperation.

This agreement, consisting of 8 Articles, aims to promote cooperation on environmental protection. With this Agreement, the Parties intend to develop cooperation in several fields, such as: (a) air pollution control, including mobile source and stationary source emissions control; (b) water pollution control, including the city and industrial waste water treatment, total amount control of water pollutants; (c) coastal and marine pollution control; (d) agricultural runoff and pesticide control; (e) solid waste management and resource recovery utilization; (f)control of hazardous waste transboundary movement and disposal of toxic chemicals management; (g) biodiversity conservation; (h) environment and natural resource management; (i) making the contribution to protect and improve the sub regional, regional and global environment. To ensure the implementation of the Agreement, the two Parties agreed to set up a Joint Environmental Cooperation Committee.
