Abstract
This Agreement, consisting of 16 Articles, aims to conserve and utilize rationally marine biological resources of common concern, maintain normal marine operation order, and strengthen and develop cooperation in the field of fisheries. This co-operative fishing agreement is applicable to EEZs of both countries in the Yellow sea. The agreement established that nationals and fishing vessels of one State would carry out fishing activities in the EEZ of the other State in accordance with the permits issued by the latter and recommendations made by the China-South Korea Joint Fisheries Committee created by this agreement.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement came into force on the date of the last notification through which the Contracting Parties had notified each other about the fulfillment of procedures required by their national legislation necessary for its approval.
Notes
The present Agreement shall be valid for five years. It may be terminated from or after the date of its expiry, in case one of the Parties informs the other one year in advance, in writing, of its decision to terminate it.
