Abstract
This Agreement consists of 9 articles. Article 1 states that the contracting parties shall carry out in their respective territories investigation on the quarantine pests listed in the Article 2 of this Agreement, and take the necessary measures (including chemical, biological, agricultural methods) to control or eliminate damage of quarantine. Plants and plant products to be exported from one Party to the other Party must be quarantined strictly and accompanied with the official plant quarantine certificate issued by the exporting country. The Agreement further provides for: requirements on the packing materials and transportation tools, exchanges of regulations and provisions relevant to plant protection and quarantine, competent authorities in charge of implementation of the Agreement, etc. The validity of this Agreement is 5 years, renewable.
