Abstract
This Agreement is composed of 11 Articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. The two Parties shall support, perform and develop bilateral cooperation on plant quarantine. The implementation of the Agreement shall be in accordance with the existing laws and regulations of the both Parties (art.2). Both Parties agreed to take necessary measures for preventing effectively from introducing pests from one side to the other side and spreading them (art. 3). Articles 4, 5 and 6 define plant quarantine requirements and conditions, including the requirement for an export plant quarantine certificate issued by the concerned authority in exporting country. The Agreement further provide for: strengthening the cooperation on scientific research and technology of plant quarantine and prevention and control; and the exchanges of plant quarantine regulations and other relevant provisions being implemented. The validity of this Agreement is 5 years, renewable.
