Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Maldives.

Both Contracting Parties shall promote the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries in accordance with this Agreement and the laws and regulations in their respective countries. The Contracting Parties should give each other the most favored nation status in terms of tariffs and other taxes on trade between the two countries. China encourages designated Chinese financial institutions to provide credit support for Maldives to import products originating in China.
