Announcement No. 17 of 2023 of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration promulgating the List of Terrestrial Wildlife with Important Ecological, Scientific, and Social Value.

The List of Terrestrial Wildlife with Important Ecological, Scientific, and Social Value has been formulated in accordance with Article 10 of the Wildlife Protection Law.
After seeking input from relevant departments such as agriculture, natural resources, science and technology, ecological environment, and public health, and organizing scientific evaluation and assessment, the list is now published and will take effect immediately. For those engaged in the artificial breeding of terrestrial wildlife with important ecological, scientific, or social value, it is required to complete the filing procedures in a timely manner according to the law. Those who had already begun such breeding activities before the issuance of this announcement must complete the filing procedures by September 30, 2023, in accordance with legal procedures.
