Abstract
According to the relevant laws and regulations of China and the Protocol of Phytosanitary Requirements for the Export of Maize from Myanmar to China between the General Administration of Customs of the People s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the import of Myanmar maize meeting the relevant requirements is allowed from the date of this announcement. The phytosanitary requirements for maize imported from Myanmar are provided in the Annex.
Myanmar should carry out inspection and quarantine on Maize before it is exported to China, in order to ensure that maize exported to China do not carry quarantine pests of concern to China. For goods that meet the requirements of the protocol, Myanmar shall issue a phytosanitary certificate and indicate in the certificate additional statement: The consignment is in compliance with the requirements described in the Protocol of Phytosanitary Requirements for the Export of Maize from Myanmar to China between the General Administration of Customs of the People s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and is free from the quarantine pests concerned by China .
