Announcement No. 235 of the Ministry of Agriculture regarding to the maximum residue limits of veterinary drugs in animal foods.

In order to strengthen the control and surveillance of veterinary drug residues and ensure the hygiene and safety of animal foods, the “Maximum Residue Limits of Veterinary Drugs in Animal Foods” are enacted in accordance with the “Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs”.
The “Maximum Residue Limits of Veterinary Drugs in Animal Foods” consist of 4 Appendixes. Appendix 1 lists veterinary drugs approved by the Ministry of Agriculture to be used for food animals in accordance with quality standards and product instruction manuals, where the maximum residue limits do not need to be established. Appendix 2 includes veterinary drugs approved by the Ministry of Agriculture to be used for food animals in accordance with quality standards and product instruction manuals, where the maximum residue limit shall be established. Appendix  3 lists veterinary drugs approved by the Ministry of Agriculture to be used for food animals according to quality standards and product instructions, but no veterinary drug residues should be detected. Appendix 4 gives the veterinary drugs prohibited by the Ministry of Agriculture to be used for all food animals.
