This standard, which has compulsory execution effect, is formulated for the purpose of protecting the environment and preventing and controlling pollution. It provides the limits and measurement method for exhaust pollutants from gasoline engines of heavy-duty vehicles, and the technological specifications and testing methods of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).
