Abstract
Article 3 of the Law on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine establishes that the organ in charge of the quarantine of animal products leaving China for trade purpose shall be designated by the State Council as it deems appropriate. On the consideration that the unified administration over the quarantine of animal products by the agricultural department cannot be done without a process, the State Council has decided that the quarantine work of animal products leaving China for trade purpose shall continue to be undertaken by the State's department of commodity inspection.
