Circular of the State Forestry Administration promulgating the Classification of Forestry and Related Sectors(Trial).

The Classification of Forestry and Related Sectors(Trial) is formulated to improve the forestry statistical work, and standardize the scope of forestry and related sectors.
Forestry and related industries shall be divided into 13 categories under the four parts: forestry production, forestry tourism and ecological services, forestry management and forestry-related activities. Forestry production include: (1) Forest cultivation and harvesting activities; (2) The cultivation and collection of non-wood forest products; (3) Forestry production auxiliary services; Forestry Tourism and Ecological Services include: (4) Forestry tourism and leisure services; (5) Forestry ecological services; Forest management include: (6) Forestry professional technical services; (7) Forestry public management and other organization services; Forestry related activities include: (8) Wood processing and wood product manufacturing; (9) Processing and manufacturing of pulp and paper products using wood (bamboo and reed) as raw materials; (10) Manufacture and manufacture products using bamboo, rattan, palm and reed as raw materials; (11) Processing and manufacturing of wild animal products; (12) Processing and manufacturing of products using other non-timber forest products as raw materials; (13) Other forestry related activities.
