The people's government of the Ningxia Autonomous Region has decided to establish a rural social assistance system in order to effectively solve the basic livelihood security problems of the impoverished villagers in the countryside.
The goal is to take the lead in establishing a rural social assistance system for rural poor villagers in the western region, including basic household assistance, temporary relief, rural disaster victims' living relief, medical assistance, education assistance, housing assistance, legal assistance, employment assistance, project assistance, science and technology assistance for the destitute villagers, etc. The Decision requires: to establish a financial sharing mechanism for basic living assistance for rural poorest villagers; to provide labor skills training to those who have the ability to work; Strengthen the capacity building of rural social assistance institutions; etc.
