Decree No. 10 of China Food and Drug Administration promulgating the Administrative Measures on Statistics of Food and Drug Supervision and Management.

The aim of these Measures is to implement statistical work of the food and drug supervision and management scientifically, effectively, ensure the authenticity, accuracy, integrity and timeliness of statistics, give full play to the important role of statistics in food and drug supervision and administration. The Text consists of twenty-eight Articles divided into six Chapters: General Provisions (I); Statistical Institutions and Statistical Personnel (II); Statistical Investigation Management (III); Statistical Data Collection, Management and Publishing (IV); Supervision, Inspection and Legal Liabilities (V); Supplementary Provisions (VI).
The main content includes: the basic statistics tasks and the scope of application; strengthening the duties of the food and drug supervision and management departments at all levels on organization and leadership for statistical work; the duties of statistical institutions of the food and drug supervision and management departments at all levels; rights and obligations of statistical personnel; statistical data examination and approval, signing, filing system; etc. China Food and Drug Administration shall develop indexes, calculation methods, catalogues, and other aspects of the food and drug supervision and administration related statistical survey standards. Further provisions concern the supervision and inspection, offences and penalties.
