Directory of the People's Republic of China on Special State Protection of Wildlife.

This Directory is formulated in accordance with the provisions in the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Wildlife (Article 9). The Directory presents specific names and their scientific names of precious and endangered wildlife species under state special protections, which include aquatic and terrestrial animals, and are divided, into primary and secondary level of protection. The Directory also indicates which specific species are respectively taken charge of by the authorities of forestry and fishery.
