Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Livestock and Poultry Breeding (National Standard GB 18596-2001).

This Standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law, Water Pollution Prevention Law and Air Pollution Prevention Law, aiming to control the pollution of wastewater, waste residue and odor from livestock and poultry breeding to the environment.
This Standard is appliable to the intensive, large-scale livestock farms and breeding areas for the discharge management of pollutants, as well as environmental impact assessment, environmental protection facilities design, completion and acceptance of these construction projects and discharge management after commissioning.
The maximum allowable daily average discharge concentration and maximum allowable drainage of water pollutants and odorous gases are stipulated, and the standards for harmless environment of livestock and poultry breeding waste residues are set.
