Abstract
These Specifications are formulated in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People s Republic of China and it s implementing Regulation, aiming to regulate the food inspection. The Specifications consist of 43 articles divided into 7 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Sampling and Sample Management (II); Inspection (III); Testing Report (IV); Quality Control (V); Supervision and Administration (VI); Supplementary Provisions (VII).
Food inspection agencies shall meet the qualification accreditation conditions and shall perform food inspection only after they have been accredited in accordance with relevant State requirements on certification and accreditation, unless otherwise specified in other laws (art.4).
Inspection agencies shall establish a food safety risk information reporting system. In case serious food safety problems or high risk issues, and regional, systematic and sectoral food safety risks are found, inspection agencies shall report to the competent food and drug supervision and administration authorities at or above the county level in a timely manner.
