Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Energy between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Oil and Natural Resources of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Parties agreed to carry out bilateral cooperation in the field of energy. Cooperation will include the following areas: (1) the two Parties will coordinate policies and exchange information in the field of energy. (2) encourage enterprises to cooperate in the fields of nuclear power, hydropower, thermal power, transmission lines and renewable energy such as wind energy, solar energy and biomass energy. (3) encourage to cooperate extensively in the exploration, production, development and utilization of coal and oil and natural gas, as well as the establishment of refineries, LNG receiving stations, storage sites, pipelines and related facilities, and to establish joint ventures. (4) joint research will be carried out to explore the feasibility of establishing a Sino-Pakistani energy corridor.
