This Fujian Animal Disease Monitoring Plan (2026–2030) aims to implement national legislation and policies on animal epidemic prevention, strengthen disease surveillance, and support effective prevention and control. The Plan aligns with national monitoring and epidemiological programs, covering major, common, zoonotic, and exotic animal diseases across key livestock and companion animal species.
The Plan defines monitoring content, including priority diseases such as African swine fever, avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease, and rabies, as well as surveillance targets covering multiple animal species. It sets out operational tasks such as developing annual implementation schemes, improving inter-agency coordination, optimizing monitoring sites along the production chain, and adopting multi-source data collection mechanisms. The Plan also requires routine and targeted surveillance, timely reporting through national information systems, risk analysis, and application of results to guide disease control.
