Abstract
This Announcement is enacted in accordance with the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine Law and the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, aiming to prevent the introduction of swine flu epidemic into China and protect the safety of animal husbandry sector and human health.
It is prohibited to import swine and swine products directly or indirectly from Alberta, Canada. Stop issuing the Entry Animal and Plant Quarantine Permits for swine and swine products imported from Alberta, Canada. All the swine and swine products from Alberta, Canada, which have arrived at the Chinese entry points, will be returned or destroyed.
