Measures for Administration of the Acceptance of Residents Resettlement for Large and Medium-sized Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Projects.

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the aiming to strengthen the management of immigrants' resettlement and acceptance of large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects, clarify acceptance responsibilities, standardize acceptance behaviours, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the state, collectives, and individual immigrants. Measures consist of 29 articles divided into 5 Chapters: General provisions (I); Safety responsibilities of project legal person (II); Conditions of the Acceptance (III); Procedures of the Acceptance(IV); Supplementary Provisions (V).
Before the staged acceptance and the completion acceptance of large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects, immigrants' resettlement acceptance shall be organized. If immigrants' resettlement has not been checked or failed to pass the acceptance check, large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects shall not be subject to staged acceptance checks and completion acceptance checks.
The Ministry of Water Resources is responsible for the management and supervision of resettlement acceptance of large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects across the country. The river basin management agencies affiliated to the Ministry of Water Resources participates in the guidance and supervision of resettlement acceptance of large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects within their jurisdictions.
