Measures for the Administration for the Packaging of Express Mail.

These Measures are enacted to strengthen the administration of green packaging of mail express, ensure the packaging quality thereof, save resources, and protect the environment. The Measures consist of 47 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General Provisions; Packaging Selection; Packaging operation; Supervision and management; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions.
Packaged mail express should adhere to the principles of practicality, safety and environmental protection, meet the requirements of production and safety, save resources, avoid over packaging and prevent environmental pollution. Delivery enterprises are encouraged to strengthen collaboration with related enterprises in the manufacturing, agriculture, and commerce sectors, so as to promote integrated packaging and simple packaging, and jointly implement relevant packaging management requirements. The total amount of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium and benzene solvent residues in the packages used by the delivery enterprises shall comply with national regulations.
