Measures for Assessment and Management of Crop Seed Quality Inspection Institutions.

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Seed Law of the People's Republic of China, aiming to strengthen the management of crop seed quality inspection institutions, standardize the examination and assessment work of seed inspection institutions and ensure the inspection capability. The Measures consist of 7 Chapters: General provisions; Application and acceptance; Examination and assessment; Review and decision; Change and continuation; Supervision and management; Supplementary provisions.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is responsible for formulating relevant standards for the assessment of seed inspection institutions, and supervising and guiding the assessment work. The specific work shall be undertaken by the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center. The assessment of seed inspection institutions shall be handled through a combination of document review, on-site assessment and capability verification. The application, acceptance, publicity and certificate printing of the seed inspection agency shall be handled through the China Seed Sector Big Data Platform.
