Measures of Beijing Municipality for the Management of Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Institutions.

These Measures are developed to strengthen the management of animal diagnosis and treatment institutions, regulate animal diagnostic and treatment practices, and ensure animal health and public hygiene.
The Measures consist of 40 Articles divided into 10 Chapters: General provisions; Medical record management; Prescription management; Drug management; Surgical management; Hospitalization management; Medical waste disposal; Control of iatrogenic infections; Archive management; Supplementary provisions.
Animal diagnosis and treatment institutions shall prominently display their animal diagnosis and treatment permits, practicing veterinarians' qualification certificates, supervision hotline, etc. Veterinary prescription notes should be issued by legally registered practicing veterinarians according to their registered scope of practice. Practicing veterinarians shall sign and keep samples or special seals for record at the animal diagnosis and treatment institution they practice.
