Measures for Compensation for the Use of Flood Detention and Storage Areas (Decree of the State Council of the People's Republic of China No. 811).

These Measures are developed in accordance with the Flood Control Law for the purposes of ensuring the normal use of flood detention and storage areas, guaranteeing the flood safety of key areas threatened by floods, and reasonably compensating the losses suffered by residents living in flood detention and storage areas due to flood detention and storage.
These Measures shall apply to flood detention and storage areas of the state. The catalog of flood storage and detention areas of the state shall be drafted by the water administrative department of the State Council in accordance with the overall plans for flood control of important river and lake basins determined by the state, and shall be submitted to the State Council for approval before issuance.
