Measures of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for implementing the Flood Control Law of the People's Republic of China.

These Measures are formulated in order to implement the Flood Control Law of the People's Republic of China. The Text consists of 45 articles divided into 7 Chapters: General provisions (I); Flood control planning (II); Control, prevention and management (III); Flood control and flood fighting (IV); Safeguards (V); Legal Liabilities (VI); Supplementary Provisions (VII).
Article 7 provides for procedures of the preparation and approval of flood prevention planning. The people's governments at or above the county level shall set up their flood control headquarters, which shall be responsible for guiding, organizing and directing flood control and flood fighting within their respective administrative areas (art.24). The flood season of the Autonomous Region is from mid-June to mid-September each year (art.29).
